What is enterprise citizen? It means that an enterprise should act as a responsible citizen in the society. To SGC, enterprise citizen can be summarized to one sentence, which is: SGC endeavors to be a responsible unit, and develops its business from economy, society, and environment aspects.

SGC promised to fulfill the regulations on human rights, labor protection, and environment protection since July 2001 and issued " The Policy of Enterprise Citizen" in 2002.

SGC has been aggressively carried out this policy. The policy can be summarized into the following points:

1. We should pay close attention to the influences that SGC caused to the aspects of society, economy, and environment.

2. Our operation is sustainable. We cannot content today's demands by sacrificing tomorrow's.

3. We should think highly of the health, safety and environment and treat our employees fair.

Why SGC such values its appearances as an enterprise citizen? First, we consider that it is a request that society gives. Nowadays, the success of an enterprise is not only considered as the economic benefit that an enterprise gains in a shot term. While people are more like to focus on if the company obeys rules, if it is responsible for its customers and markets. Second, all employees are like to work for a company that values moral and criterion.

The secretary of the United Nations Kofi A Annan once mentioned: An enterprise realizes: as the global economic integrated, the social responsibility of an enterprise should also be globalization. They may find the choice they made right or not would directly influence its future business operation."

In SGC, enterprise citizen is the duty and responsibility that everybody should obey. And we believe, SGC will be well known because of this.
