Seawater circulating water cooling tower refers to a type of cooling tower specially designed with seawater as circulating water. The special properties of the seawater cycle are as follows
1. Chemical corrosion: Ca(OH)2 in cement is corroded by CO2 and magnesium salts and sulfates, and the process of carbonization and formation of Mg(OH). 2. Freezing damage: The freezing point of seawater is lower than that of fresh water, and the permeability resistance of structural materials is good, which can basically solve the problem of freezing damage. 3. Microbial effect: The adhesion of microorganisms and fungi in the heated seawater is higher than that of ordinary seawater, and there is a possibility of fouling. 4. Crystallization pressure: The evaporation and concentration of seawater with high salinity, as well as capillary action, form crystals. On the one hand, scale blockage is formed, and on the other hand, the concrete is destroyed after oversaturation. 5. Corrosion of metal parts: The corrosion of metal parts by Cl ions is more serious, and the iron matrix acts as an anode in seawater to produce oxidation, and the corrosion speed is accelerated. 6. Influence of thermal performance: The specific heat of seawater is lower than that of freshwater, so the energy storage capacity in heat exchange decreases. Heat exchange performance will be affected.
