Seagull was honored to be awarded the PETRONAS RAPID(Malaysia's national oil company RAPID) cooling tower project. Requiring us to handle a massive 169,415 m3/hr mixed-flow water rate mechanical ventilation cooling tower structure. The project lay a good foundation for our company’s success in the Southeast Asia market and is another milestone in the cooling tower petrochemical industry.
The prestigious order has been secured for the construction of 53 Cooling Towers.
The PETRONAS RAPID project by France TECHNIP and the United States FLUOR joint bid, which is by far the largest in Southeast Asia refining and petrochemical integrated development projects, located in Malaysia Johor and Garland in the Southeast, and Singapore. Combined projects with a total investment of 26 billion dollars, 300,000 barrels a day.
As per the Senior Executive’s directive: I have been instrumental in this project since the initial planning stages in 2013. Which saw the project enter the bidding phase in February 2015 and attracted the attention of many well-known global cooling tower manufacturers.
FLUOR, Manila Executive including technical and commercial assessment of the company. After several rounds of fierce competition, seagull ultimately was awarded the contract package cooling towers. Currently the project has concluded in Manila.
