At the 75^th Session of the UN General Assembly, China President Xi Jinping said that China will scale up its Intended Nationality Determined Contributions by adopting more vigorous policies and measures. China aims to increase its climate goal and peak carbon dioxide emissions before 2030 and achieve carbon neutrality by 2060. Both Government Work Report 2021 and the 14^th Five Year Plan have call for an action plan to achieve the climate goal and these would create unprecedented opportunities for many developing organizations.

Gas Turbine, honored as the “crown pearl” of manufacturing industry because of its excellent energy efficiency and low carbon emission capacity. The SGT-700 can use hydrogen as fuel and converting it into mechanical energy. Due to all that mentioned above, Jiangsu Seagull has begun the co-operation with Siemens Energy AG, one of the three largest global gas turbine manufacturers in mid-2019. Taking this as a starting point, Seagull is officially set foot in the gas turbine industry.

The Company formed a gas turbine team in 2019. However, due to internal restructuring, the team has eventually turned into a new business unit as Gas Turbine Division. In 2020, the Company signed for Raw Material Procurement and Gas Turbine Contracts with Siemens Energy, initiated the first project results from the co-operation.

Over the year, our technical teams have work closely with the Siemens’s technical team and with their guidance, the team is complete, so as skills training, technology integration, development of local supply chain system, components procurement, pressure pipe factory prefabrication qualification, building of customized workshop & etc. The assembly of first gas turbine machine took more than six months, since beginning of the year 2021. After certain production test and temperature adjustment setting, the first gas turbine is out for delivery on 13rd of August.

Looking back to the past two years, with strong leadership from top management, the Company has mitigated the adverse impact caused by COVID-19. Through close collaboration with Siemens Energy Sweden too, the company accomplished the target goals and gain recognition from Siemens Energy’s management team.

Peep into the future, more collaboration will take place with production optimization process, further development of gas turbine market, and service operations management.

Every past is a prologue. In line with national carbon emissions and carbon neutrality strategy to transform the world into green & low carbon development, Seagull will develop steadily and goes far beyond in this alternative energy industry.
